The Fixposition Vision RTK2 IP Sensor Unit is a unique solution that offers reliable and accurate real time positioning thanks to its proprietary deep sensor fusion technology. It is easy to use and highly accurate, making it ideal for autonomous navigation systems that need to operate in challenging environments, such as street canyons, underpasses, and beneath tree canopies, where conventional GNSS positioning systems fail. With the Vision RTK2, you can explore new territories with confidence.

Accurate positioning is a challenge for autonomous machines, such as driverless shuttles, agricultural robots, and urban robots. All of these need to know their exact location indoors or outdoors, in urban or rural settings. To achieve this, Fixpositions sensor fusion engine combines GNSS observations, camera images, IMU measurements, and wheel speed information to create an optimal pose estimate. Visual odometry is used to extract important points (visual features) from camera images, which are then tracked across multiple images to calculate the cameras movement. The RTK Global Navigation Satellite System, with two dual frequency receivers, is used to determine the absolute position and orientation of the sensor. Errors in the GNSS systems are corrected using RTK technology, which is calibrated using data from virtual reference station (VRS) networks or local base stations.
