Features:

  • Bidirectional continuous rotation
  • 0 to 50 RPM, with linear response to PWM for easy ramping
  • Accepts four mounting screws
  • Easy to interface with any Parallax microcontroller or PWM-capable device
  • Very easy to control with PBASIC's or SX/B's PULSOUT commands

Note: Servo current draw can spike while under load. Be sure that your application's power supply and voltage regulator is prepared to supply adequate current for all servos used. Do not try to power this servo directly from a BASIC Stamp module's Vdd or Vin pins. Do not connect the servo's Vss line directly to the BASIC Stamp module's Vss pin.

Excellent for robotics

I was very pleased with the parallax servo. I have been building a 4 wheel drive chassis using whegs (A mixture of wheel and leg to give better climb on terrain). This naturally required a reasonably high torque which the servo provided. The robot was able to climb rocks larger than its size and move across pebbles. This used 4 servos, the Adafruit servo hat and a Raspberry pi. Make sure you are powering the servos with 5v or more, under that voltage you will not receive the torque you want. They have a low draw of current making an external mobile phone Charger perfect for powering them. Here they are in action: https://youtu.be/stiSSy37LWc

Excellent servos delivered promptly

I used two of these to power a 3D printed tracked vehicle, they worked perfectly and very easy to control by an Arduino without any extra motor control interface.

Excellent product.

Not cheap but one of the better continuous servos for the money.
