The Unitree QUADRUPED Go1 EDU Plus w/ 3D Lidar series consists of quadruped robots for the research and development of autonomous systems in the fields of robot human interaction (HRI), SLAM, and transportation. Due to its four legs, as well as its 12 Degrees of Freedom (DOF), this robot can handle a variety of different terrains. The Go1 is Unitrees latest device and comes with a perfected drive and power management system, which enables a speed (depending on the version) of up to 3.7m/s or 11.88km/h with an operating time of up to 2.5 hours. Furthermore, the motors have a torque of 23.70N.m at the body and thighs, and 35.55N.m at the knees, which also allow for jumps or backflips.
Equipment and Variants
The Go1 series has three variants: Go1 Air, Go1 Pro, and Go1 Edu, which differ a little technically. The differences are mainly in the processors and sensor systems; the Air and Pro variants work, depending on the model, with one or three 4*1.43GHz 128Core 0.5T processors, as well as with one or five Super Sensor Systems. Both variants are equipped with three ultrasonic sensors.
The Go1 Edu variant has up to three nano processors, five Super Sensor Systems, and four ultrasonic sensors.
Software
The Go1 comes standard with an ARM Cortex A72 CPU, which provides sufficient performance for SLAM, optional devices such as 3D LiDAR for precise mapping solutions, and much more.
In addition, we provide complete simulation and visualization tools, such as Webots, Gazebo, or RViZ. These tools have two major advantages. On the one hand, they allow feasibility studies without existing hardware, as well as application developments with minimal costs.
